Date April 13, 1988
A RESOLUTION. APPROVING LAWS 1988, CHAPTER 500, AND
COMBINING PRECINCTS N0. 1 and ~- INTO PRECINCT N0. 1,
AND PRECINCTS N0. 2 AND 3 INTO PRECINCT N0. 2
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights requested the State Legislature
to consider adoption of a bill allowing the City of consolidate
election precincts, and
WHEREAS, the Legislature has accommodated the City by passing such a
bill,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Falcon Heights that
Laws 1988, Chapter 500, be approved and that Precincts Number l and
Number 4 be consolidated into Precinct Number 1, and Precincts Number
2 and Number 3 be consolidated into Precinct 2, with boundaries as
shown on Exhibit A attached.

4 placing restrictions on Ramsey county officials and
5 employees; providing penalties; proposing coding for
6 new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 383A.

8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
9 Section 1. [FALCON HEIGHTS; ELECTION PRECINCTS.]
10 Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 204H.14,
11 subdivision 3, the city of Falcon Heights may establish new
12 election precincts in 1988 by .consolidating its four existing
13 election precincts into two new election precincts. The

15 Sec. 2. [383A.201J [OFFICIALS NOT TO BE INTERESTED IN
16 CONTRACTS.]
17 No Ramsey county official or the official's deputy, clerk,
18 or employee and no commissioner for tax-forfeited lands or the
19 commissioner's assistants, may have a personal financial
20 interest (1) in a contract, work, labor, or business to which
21 the county is a party or in which it is or may be interested,
22 (2) or in the furnishing of an article to, or the purchase or
23 sale of any real or personal property by the county, or of which
24 the consideration, price, or expense is payable from the county
25 treasurv. A violation of this section is a Qross misdemeanor-r.
26 Sec. 3. [EFFECTIVE DATE.J
