HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_85-06J, r EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA HELD: JANUARY 23, 1985 ~ ~. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was duly held at 7:00 p.m. The following members of the Council were present: Acting Mayor Hard, Councilmembers Baldwin and Ciernia and the following. were absent: Mayor Eggert Member Ciernia introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: R-85-6 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN WHEREAS: The City of Falcon Heights has heretofore formed Development District No. 1 in the City and it has been proposed that the City amend the development program previously adopted for Development District No. 1, establish Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 within Development District No. 1 and adopt a tax increment financing plan therefor in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 273.71 to 273.78 and Chapter 472A (collectively the "Act"); NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights that a public hearing on said proposal will be held at the time and place set forth in the Notice of Hearing hereto attached and incorporated herein by reference. The Clerk Administrator is authorized and directed r~ L ~ to cause said Notice of Hearing to be published in the local official newspaper and, if the official newspaper does not have • general circulation, in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least once not less than 10 days nor more than 30 days prior to the date of hearing and to cause a copy of said notice to be mailed to the County Auditor of Ramsey County and the School Board Clerk of Independent School District No. 623 and the School Board Clerk of Special Intermediate School Board No. 916. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Baldwin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Acting Mayor Hard, Councilmembers Baldwin and Ciernia, and the following voted against the same: None. Barnes, Clerk Administrator Regular City Council Meeting of January 23, 1985. • NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING • CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Falcon Heights, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 27, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall, 2077 Larpenteur Avenue, Falcon Heights, Minnesota, relating to the additional development activities within Development District No. 2 (the "Development District") pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 472A, as amended, and Minnesota Statutes, Sections 273.71 to 273.78, inclusive, as amended. The hearing is also relative to establishment of Tax Increment District No. 2 and a proposed Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax Increment District No. 2, copies of which will be on file and available for public inspection at the City Hall. The parcels to be included in Tax Increment District No. 2 are within the Development District and are more specifically described in the proposed Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax Increment District No. 2. They include: • Owner Description University of Approximately 6 1/2 acres in size Minnesota located at the SE corner of the intersection of Coffman Street and Larpenteur Avenue.
