HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_85-09{ EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY • OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA HELD: FEBRUARY 27, 1985 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was duly held on the 27th day of February, 1985 at7;pp P.M. The following members of the Council were present: Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers Ciernia, Baldwin, Hard and Chenoweth. and the following were absent: None Member Maytsr Emmert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: R-85-9 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN AND REQUESTING THE COMMENTS OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION WHEREAS: The City of Falcon Heights has heretofore established Development District No. 2 by a resolution of the City Council adopted on September 19, 1984 and it has been proposed that the City amend the development program previously adopted for Development District No. 2 and establish Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 within Development District No. 2 and adopt a tax increment financing plan in therefor accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 273.71 to 273.78 and Chapter 472A (collectively the "Act"); • NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights as follows: • 1. A public hearing on said proposal will be held at the time and place set forth in the Notice of Hearing hereto attached and incorporated herein by reference. The Clerk-Administrator is authorized and directed to cause said Notice of Hearing to be published in the local official newspaper and, if the official newspaper does not have general circulation, in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. at least once not less than 10 days nor more than 30 days prior to the date of hearing and to cause a copy of said notice to be mailed to the County Auditor of Ramsey County and the School Board Clerk of Independent School District No. 623 and the Clerk of Special Intermediate School Board No. 916. 2. The development program and tax. increment financing plan are hereby directed to be delivered to the Planning Commission for their comments. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Mayor Eggert, Councilmember Ciertia, Baldwin, Hard and Chenoweth and the following voted against the same: None Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Eggert, M.D., Mayor • NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING • CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Falcon Heights, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on April 10 1985 at 7x15 p.m. at the City Hall, 2077 Larpenteur Avenue, Falcon Heights, Minnesota, relating to the additional development activities within Development District iJo. 2 (the "Development District") pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 472A, as amended, and. Minnesota Statutes, Sections 273.71 to 273.78, inclusive, as amended. The hearing is also relative to establishment of Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 and a proposed Tax Inc~rernent Financing Plan for Tax Increment Financing District No. 2, copies of which will be on file and available for public inspection at the City Hall. The parcels to be included in Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 are within the Development District and are more specifically described in the proposed Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax Increment Financing District No. 2. They include: • Owner Description Labalestra Lot 11t and 15 of the Crossroads Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the above items will be heard at this meeting.
