• Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on January
25, 1984.
The following members were present: Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers
Chestovich, Baldwin and Hard, and the following were absent: Councilmember
Ciernia.
Councilmember Chestovich introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 84-5
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
TO IMPLEMENT THE SOLAR BANK DEFERRED LOAN PROGRAM
WITHIN THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights desires to assist families and
individuals in making energy improvements for the purpose of increasing the
energy efficiency of their homes; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has funds to be used
for such purposes, and will contract with the Metropolitan Council to administer
these Solar Bank Deferred Loan Funds; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been designated a housing and
redevelopment authority pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 473.195, the
Metropolitan Council must obtain the approval of the governing body of any
municipality in which it proposes to implement the Solar Bank Deferred Loan
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Falcon Heights
hereby authorizes the Metropolitan Council to implement the Solar Bank Deferred
Loan Program for the purpose of increasing the energy efficiency of homes in the
City of Falcon Heights, and that the .City Administrator, Dewan B. Barnes, is
hereby authorized to enter into any necessary agreement with the Metropolitan
Council for operating the program within the city.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Councilmember Baldwin and upon a vote being taken, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers Chestovich, Baldwin
and Hard, and the following voted against the same: None.
WHEREUPON, the resolution wa decl duly passed and adopted.
