. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on April 11,
1984.
The following members were present: Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers
Hard, Chestovich, Ciernia, and Baldwin, and the following were absent:
None.
Councilmember Baldwin introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION 84-12
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A JOINT PURCHASING
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ST. PAUL.
WHEREAS, two or more governmental units, by agreement entered into
through action of their governing bodies, may jointly or cooperatively
excercise any power, common to the contracting parties, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota,
desires to enter into a purchasing agreement with the City of St. Paul for
the joint purchase of equipment, material and supplies as needed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
471.59, commonly referred to as the 'Joint Powers Act", the proper-
. City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute a joint
purchasing agreement with the City of St. Paul, a copy of said agreement
to be kept on-file and on record in the Office of the Clerk Administrator,
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Councilmember Hard and upon a vote being taken, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers Hard, Chestovich,
Ciernia, and Baldwin, and the following voted against the same: None.
WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
