Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the
City Council of the City of Falcon Heights was duly called and held at the
City Hall in said City on the 7th day of January, 1982 at 5:30 p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following were absent: None.

Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its
RESOLUTION 82-1
A RESOLUTION APPROVING EXECUTING OF A PURCHASE
AGREEMENT FOR ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights has hereto-
fore determined that it is advisable and in the public interest to provide
for the acquisition and construction of a new community center/city hall;
and
WHEREAS, the City has initiated condemnation proceedings to acquire
certain property for such purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal for the negotiated-sale
of said property to the City at a price which is commensurate with the value
thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights that the terms and conditions of the Purchase Agreement pertain-
ing to the acquisition of property to be used as a site for the new community
center/city hall, a copy of which Agreement is on file in the office of-the
Clerk Administrator, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and Clerk Administrator
are authorized and directed to sign said Agreement on behalf of the City as
"Buyer", subject to such changes as may be approved by the City Attorney to
effectuate the substantive terms and conditions thereof.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Councilmember Eggert and upon a vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert,
Larson, Chestovich and Ciernia, and the following voted against the same:
None.
WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
