HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_82-30CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of Falcon-Heights, Minnesota was held on-the 22nd day of-July, 1982. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich and the following were absent: None. adoption: Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION 82-30 A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRIOR AVENUE IMPROVE- MENTS NORTH OF LARPENTEUR AVENUE TO 60 FEET NORTH OF CITY HALL SITE AND AhIARDING THE CONTRACT TO AUSTIN P. KELLER CO. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights held a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Thursday July 22, 1982 to consider the im- provement of Prior Avenue and Bernwood Additions 1, 2 and 3, and WHEREAS, the City Council determined the improvements to be feasible and ordered the improvements including acquisition of the right-of-way on-Prior Avenue north of Larpenteur to be extended 60 feet north of the City Hall site with provision to continue the improvements in Bernwood Additions 1, 2 and 3 providing the developer (American Shelter Corporation) can within 30 days provide proof of ownership and file the plats, and . WHEREAS, the City Council further desires to a~oard the contract to the lowest bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights hereby orders the improvement of Prior Avenue including acquisition of the right-of- way including 60 feet north of the City Hall site, and further awards the alternate contract to Austin P. Keller Company in the amount of $70,863.60. The Clerk Administrator was directed to hold the balance of the contract for Bernwood Additions 1, 2 and 3 for 30 days in the event the developer shows proof of ownership and files the plats, and City Council in that event may award the balance of the contract. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Larson and upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following voted against the same:- None.
