Pursuant to due call :axFd notice thereof, a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City~nf Falcon Heights, Minnesota was
held on the 25th day~of August, 1982.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien
Councilmembers Ciernia, Chestovich and Larson, and the following
were absent: Councilmember Eggert.
Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 82-35
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE RAMSEY COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS BUDGET FOR PURCHASE OF
SERVICES FROM THE NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH SERVICE
BUREAU FOR. THE YEAR 1983
WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Corrections Department has annually
entered into a Purchase of Services contract with the Northwest Suburban
~routh Service Bureau and
WHEREAS, due to more stringent budgetary requirements, the Cor-
rections Department has not provided for this funding in their proposed
1983 budget, and
WHEREAS, the northwest suburban cities are very pleased with
the tangible results of this program for youth, and desire to continue
it as a viable entity, and
WHEREAS,.the northwest cities will continue contributing one-half
of the Youth Service Bureau's annual budget in 1983, as they have done
since the Bureau's inception seven years ago,
BE IT NOW RESOLVED by the City Cou~.ci1 of the City of.T'alcon,Heights,
that the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners fund this Purchase of Service
contract, and .thereby enable the Youth Service Bureau to function at its
full capabilities for 1983.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilmember Larson and upon a vote being taken
thereon, the following. voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien,_
Councilmembers Ciernia, Chestovich and Larson, and the following voted
against same: None. Councilmember Eggert: Absent
