Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City
Council of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 25th day of August, 1982.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Larson, Ciernia, and Chestovich and the following were absent: Eggert.
Councilmember Larson introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION $2-36
A RESOLUTION ORDERING LARPENTEUR-GORTNER
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT FROM LARPENTEUR
AVENUE SOUTH ON GORTNER TO CONNECT ONTO
THE UNIVERSITY STORM DRAINAGE AND AWARD
THE CONTRACT TO ERWIN MONTGOMERY CON-
STRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,757.75
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights held a
public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday August 4, 1982 to consider the storm sewer
improvement of Larpenteur Avenue to Gortner and
WHEREAS, on the 25th of August, 1982 the City Council reconsidered their
action of August 4, 1982 due to a petition of Hewlett-Packard to reconsider the
Council determined the improvement to be feasible and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder was Erwin Montgomery Construction,
10883 89th Avenue North, Osseo, Minnesota 55369, in the amount of $150, 757.75,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights hereby
orders the storm sewer improvement for Larpenteur Avenue and Gortner, and further
awards the contract to Erwin Montgomery Construction in the amount of $150,757.75.
The Council further shall consider said project to be partially funded through
tax increment finance and a part of the proposed development plan.
The motion for the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
Chestovich upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor
Warkentien, Councilmember Ciernia, Chestovich, and Larson and the following voted
against the same: None.
WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
