Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council
• of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 27th day of October,
1982.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Chestovich, Larson, Ciernia, and Eggert and the follwing were absent: None.
Councilmember Larson introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 82-49
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
TO CLOSE THE FRONTAGE ROAD ACCESS AT THE NORTHEAST INTERSECTION
OF LARPENTEUR AND SNELLING AND REQUEST LIMITED USE OF SUCH RIGHT-
OF-WAY
WHEREAS, Marvin Stillman, owner of a parcel of land lying northeast
of the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Larpenteur Avenue and,
WHEREAS, Marvi=n Stillman is contemplating construction of a building
for retail business after the total loss of a portion of his retail business
by fire, and
WHEREAS, to utilize his property effectively the City Council granted
• certain variances to Marvin Stillman, and
WHEREAS, the City Council requires :sir. Stillman to provide adequate parking
spaces, and
WHEREAS, the City Council passed a resolution requesting the Minnesota
Department of Transportation to close off the service road at the northeast
intersection of Snelling and Larpenteur Avenues and further request the Department
to permit. limited use of said right-of-way.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Chestovich and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following
voted= in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Chestovich, Larson,
Ciernia, and Eggert, and the following voted against the same: None.
WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
