HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_83-38CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 9th day of November, 1983. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Larson, Ciernia, Chestovich and Eggert, and the following were absent: None. Councilmember Eggert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 83-38 A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDATION THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS OWNED BY CHARLES HAWKINS ESTATE BE REZONED WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights has been petitioned by the Charles Hawkins Estate to zone certain land within the City of Falcon Heights from B1-A, Limited Business and Processing District, R-2, One and Two Family Residential, and R-l, One Family Residential District, to B-1, Limited Business District, and The legal description of said property is as follows: That part of the of the West half 16, Township 29, thereof ; 21 acres East of the West 44 acres of the Southwest Quarter of Section Range 23, except the South 462 feet and lying south of the north line of, and the westerly extension of said north line of the following described parcel of land: The South 15 acres of the parcel of land which consists of the West 20 acres of the East half of the Southwest Quarter and the East 15 acres of the West half of the Southwest Quarter, all in Section 16, Township 29, Range 23, except that part of the South 765 feet of said South 15 acres which lies East of the West 60 feet of said South 765 feet, subject to rights of the public in County Road A (Larpenteur Avenue) and subject also to cartway easement upon the East 33 feet thereof. All above in Section 16, Township 29, Range 23, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Subject to easements and restrictions of record, if any. Containing 5.28 acres, more or less. ~Y -2- WHEREAS, the Planning Commission in its Comprehensive Plan for Zoning for the City of Falcon Heights is recommending that the property described above be rezoned B-1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights that the Council will support the Planning Commission's recommendation to rezone the above described property to B-1, Limited Businesses. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Warkentien and upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Larson, Ciernia, Chestovich and Eggert, and the following voted against the same: None.
