HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_83-39CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS • Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Gouncil was held on November 9, 1983. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Larson, Ciernia, Chestovich, and Eggert and the following were absent: None. Mayor Warkentien, introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 83- 39 A RESOLUTION COM~SENDING MARGARET ESTY FOR HER CONCERN FOR HER NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE ACTION SHE TOOK IN THE APPREHENSION OF A BURGLARY SUSPECT WFII~~AS, the Council of the City of Faloon Heights is concerned over the welfare of its community and citizens, and WHEREAS, the Council has been informed that Margaret Esty, 1781 Albert Street, on October 7, 1983 did observe that an individual was casing the residence at 1788 Albert Street and upon further investigation • on her part observed the suspect eatering a window. Margaret Esty, at that time, confiscated the bicycle used by the suspect and then called the Sheriffs Department. The suspect was apprehended in the act of burglarizing the residential home. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Falcon Heights to go on record as commending Margaret Esty for her concern far the neighborhood and assertive actioa taken by her to thwart a crime in progress. 1 Willis C.
