• Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on
the 9th day of November, 1983.
The following were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following were absent: Council-
member Eggert.
Councilmember Chestovich introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption.
RESOLUTION 83-40
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING INCREASED HEATING
PERMIT FEES FOR THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights has
reviewed the current heating permit fees, and
Whereas, it has been determined that the present fees are
cumbersome and not feasible at this time,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Falcon Heights to set the fees as listed on Exhibit A (see attached).
i The motion of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Ciernia and upon a vote being taken, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Larson, Ciernia and
Chestovich, and the following voted against the same: None.
WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

HEATING PERMIT FEES
Fee Item
$ 5.00 Each Gas Appliance (machine, device, heater, range, refrigerator, gas
dryer, gas stove, gas hot water heater or other appliance) requiring
the use of manufactured gas, natural gas or liquid petroleum gas.
$ 10.00 Gas Piping $500.00 valuation or less (repair or installation)
$ 4.00 Each additional $500.00 cost of repair or installation
Gas Burners or Gas Burner Equipment or Oil Burning Furnaces or Boilers
$ 20.00 First 200,000 BTU input or less
$ 3.00 Each additional 100,000 input or fraction thereof
$175.00 Maximum fee for each unit
Steam ,Warm Air or Hot Water Heating System
$ 25.00 First 200,000 BTU input for construction or alteration of any warm air
furnace duct work
$ 4.00 Each additional 100,000 BTU input or fraction
$ 25.00 First 200,000 BTU input per unit for installation or replacement of each
steam or hot water system
$ 4.00 Each additional 100,000 BTUs or fraction thereof (240 x EDR = BTUs/hr)
$ 15.00 Per Unit on unit heaters, based on first 100,000 BTU input
$ 3.00 Each additional 100,000 BTU input or fraction thereof
Incinerators
$ 15.00 Installation or repair of each domestic incinerator
$ 50.00 Installation or repair of each commercial incinerator
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Work
$ 20.00 First 5 tons on any air conditioning or refrigeration project (60,000 BTUs)
$ 3.00 Each additional ton or fraction thereof (12,000 BTUs)
$175.00 Maximum fee per unit
$ 25.00 First 5 tons (60,000 BTUs) of cooling for duct work for air conditioning
$ 3.00 Each ton (12,000 BTUs) or fraction thereof over first 5 tons for duct
work for air conditioning
Ventilating Systems
$ 25.00 First 2,000 CFM per unit
$ 5.00. Each additional 1,000 CFM or fraction thereof per unit
