RESOLUTION 83-45
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING WILLIS C. A. WARKENTIEN
FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
WHEREAS, Willis C. A. Warkentien served as Councilmember from
January, 1957 until December 31, 1968, and as Mayor from January, 1968,
until December 31, 1983, and
WHEREAS, during all of this time he has given generously of his time and
effort to matters affecting the City and the public interest, including,
among others, the incorporation of the City, the construction of the new
Community Building and Fire Station, and consultations with the Legislature
of the State of Minnesota, neighboring communities, the University of
Minnesota, and State Fairgrounds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights, for themselves and the residents of the City, hereby
expresses its appreciation and thanks to Willis C. A. Warkentien for his
services in the interest of the City, and that a copy of this resolution
be presented to him.
Passed unanimously this 28th day of December, 1983.
