HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_78-05CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS JANUARY 11, 1978 • Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the 11th day of January, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown and the following members were absent: None. Councilmember Black introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 78-5 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FISCAL AGENT, JURAN & MOODY TO NEGO1IATE THE SALE OF BONDS TN THE AMOUNT OF $66,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING A FIRE TRUCK. WHEREAS, on November 8, 1977 at a Special Election the question was submitted to the general public of the City of Falcon Heights as to whether they would or would not permit the council of the City to sell bonds for the purchase of a fire truck in the amount of $66,000 and, WHEREAS, the results of the Special Election was in favor of permiting the City Council to sell bonds in the amount of $66,000. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council to authorize the fiscal agent of Juran & Moody to negotiate a sale of bonds in the amount of $66,000, payable over a ten C10) year period with payment of principle beginning in the year 1980 for the purpose of purchasing one fire truck. The motion for the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Steele and upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown and the following voted against: None.
