HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_78-08CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of • the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 22nd day of February, 1978, The following members were present: Acting Mayor Black, Council- members McGough and Brown, and the following were absent: Mayor Warkentien and Councilman Steele. Councilman McGough introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 78-8 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT IN CONNECTION WITH HOLLYWOOD COURT STREET AND ALLEY IMPROVEMENT AND CALLING FOR ASSESSMENT HEARING WHEREAS, the contract has been let for construction of Hollywood Court Street and. Alley improvement as specifically set forth in the Notice of Hearing on said improvement dated March 9th, 1977 and published in the St. Paul Dispatch on March 8, 1977 and March 15, 1977 WHEREAS, the total cost of said improvement is $31,238.86, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The City Council hereby determines that the cost in the amount of $31,238.86 shall be assessed against benefitted property owners. 2. The City Clerk Administrator shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvements against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land without regard to cash valuation as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such pro- posed assessment in his office for public inspection prior to pub- lication of the Notice of Assessment Hearing on said improvement. 3. The City Clerk Administrator shall publish notice that this Council will meet to consider the proposed assessments on April 12, 1978 at 8:00 p.m. in the City Hall. 4. Said notice shall be in substantially the following form -1- The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Acting Mayor Black and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Black, Councilmembers McGough and Brown, and the following voted against the same: None. Mayor Warkentien and Councilman Steele, absent. WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 6 . William H. Black, Acting Mayor Attest: Dewan B.
