Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
• the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held
on the 22nd day of February, 1978.
The following members were present: Acting Mayor Black, Council-
members McGough and Brown, and the following were absent: Mayor
Warkentien and Councilman Steele.
Councilman McGough introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION 78-9
RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
IN CONNECTION WITH IDAHO AVENUE CURB AND
GUTTER IMPROVEMENT OF 1977 AND CALLING FOR
ASSESSMENT HEARING
WHEREAS, the contract has been let for construction of Curb and
Gutter Improvement of 1977 on Idaho Avenue between Arona Street and
Pascal Street as specifically set forth in the Notice of Hearing on
said improvement dated May 13th, 1977 and published in the St. Paul
Dispatch on May 10th, 1977: and
WHEREAS, the total cost of said improvement is $14,796.00,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby determines that $14,796.00
of said cost shall be assessed against benefitted property owners
based upon benefits received without regard to cash valuation.
2. The City Clerk Administrator shall forthwith
calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such im-
provements against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land
without regard to cash valuation as provided by law, and he shall
file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public
inspection prior to publication of the Notice of Assessment Hearing
on said improvement.
3. The City Clerk Administrator with the assistance of
the City Attorney, shall publish notice that this Council will meet
to consider the proposed assessments on March 22, 1978 at
8:00 o'clock p.m, in the City Hall.
4. Said notice shall be in substantially the following
form:

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Acting Mayor Black and upon a vote being taken
i thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Acting-Mayor Black,
`~ ~ouncilmembers McGough and Brawn,
and the following voted agains the same: -None.
Mayor Warkentien and Councilman Steele - absent.
WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.
