HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_78-10CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was duly called and held in the City Hall in said City on the 8th day of March, 1978, The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Council- members Black, McGough, Steele and Brown, and the following were absent: None Councilman McGough ntrpduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION 78-10 WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights City Council on October 27, 1977, adopted a resolution opposing the selection of the Bethel College site for a Job Corps Training Center and: WHEREAS, it is felt an intensive study of the potential environmemtal impact of the proposed training center is necessary, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Falcon Heights City Council supports the Como-Falcon Community Coalition's request that an Environmental Impact Statement be completed before any additional action is taken at the Bethel College Site. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Steele and upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown, and the following voted against same: None.
