Pursuant to due. call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting
of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was
held on the 14th day of June, 1978..
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Council-
members Black, McGough, Steele and Brown, and the following members
were absent: None. Councilman Steele introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 78-16
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF ASSIS-
TANCE FOR SHADE TREE SANITATION OF PRIVATE
PROPERTY UNDER MINNESOTA STATUTE; 18..023 OF
1977.
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota
has entered into a Joint Agreement with the
Minnesota Department of Agriculture and under
Minnesota Statute 18.023 which provides for
state assistance for Shade Tree Sanitation
program and,
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota requires the
City to establish a rate of disbursement:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council
of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota does
• hereby establish the rate of assistance to
private property owners at 500 of the cost of
removal effective January 1, 1978, not to exceed
$100...00 per tree, limit to five (5) trees. per
lot per calander year..
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Black ,; and upon a vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien,
Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown, and the following
voted against same: None.
