HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA, HELD ON

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was duly called
and held at the City Ha11 in said City on the 13th day of December , 1978
at ?:30 o~clock.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Black, McGough, Steele and F3rown.
and the following members were absent: None
Meanber Warkentien intboduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. ?8-23
Wf3EREAS, by previous action of the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights, it entered into a Joint Powers Agreement concerning sponsor-
ship and funding of the Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau for the
year 1978,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights desires
to extend said Agreement for another year to expire on the 31st day of
December, 1979, and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights to amend paragraph 7 of said Agreement by providing for
future extension to be made by resolution before the 30th day of November
in the year preceding the year the extension is to take effect.
NOW, TFU;REFORE, IT I5 HERBY RESOLVED:
1. The City Council of the City of Falcon Heights hereby agrees
to extend the Joint Powers Agreement by and between it and various other"
municipalities located in the County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, so that
said Agreement will expire on the 31st day of December, 1979.
2. The Mayor and Clerk Administrator are authorized to execute
the Supplemental Joint Powers Agreement providing for amendment to paragraph
7 of said Joint Powers Agreement providing for future extensions to said
Agreement to be adopted by resolution of the Council before the 30th day
of November in the year preceding the year i.n which the extension shall
become effective.
