Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the
• 28th day of February 1979.
The Following meanbers were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Black, Steele, McGough and Brown and the following members were absent: None.
Councilmember Black introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption.

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING '['HE METROPOLITAN
COUNCIL TO ACCEPT THE COl!4IUNITY GRANT
APPLICATION PRAVIDED UNDER THE METRO-
POLITAN LAND PLANNING AC:t (ADDITIONAL
FUNDING)
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act under Minnesota Statutes,
Section 1173. 851-173. 872 requires the commwni.ty to update its comprehensive
plan and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Laws - 1976 Chapter 167 provided funding for the
Metropolitan Area Local Goverrunental units for the preparation of said plans.
WHN;RF.AS, additional Grants are avai;Lable for 1978-1979 in addition to
the 1976-1977 grant in the amount of $2,72!}.00.
. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Falcon
Heights, Minnesota, that the Metropolitans Council is requested to accept the
City of Falcon Heights application for additional funding in the preparation
of upgrading a comprehensive plan in the amount of $2,721.00 as shown in the
Community Grant Application attached.
The motion for the adoption of the :eoregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmeanber Steele and upon a vote being taken, the following voted
in favor of the resolution: Mayor Warketstien, Councilmembers Black, McGough,
Steele and Brown and the following v~~ted against same: None.
WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
