Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting of the City Council
~of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 11th day of July, 1979.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers McGough,
Stone, Steele and Brown, and the following were absent: None. Councilmember McGough
introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption.
RESOLUTION 79-18
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF ASSISTANCE FOR SHADE TREE
SANITATION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY UNDER MINNESOTA STATUTE 18.023
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota has entered into
a Joint Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and
under Minnesota Statute 18.023 which provides for state assistance
for Shade Tree Sanitation program and,
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota requires the City to establish a
rate of disbursement:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights, Minnesota does hereby establish the rate of assis-
tance to private property owners at 50% of the cost of removal
effective January 1, 1979, not to exceed $100.00 per tree, limit
to five (5) trees per lot per calendar year.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
~y Councilmember Steele and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers McGough, Steele and
Brown and the following voted against same: None. Councilmember Stone abstained.
WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
