Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 13th day
of December, 1979.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Steele, Brown and Stone, and the following members were absent: None.
Councilmember Steele introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption.
RESOLUTION 79-27
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NO TRUCK PARKING ON THE EAST
SIDE OF ARONA AVENUE BEGINNING FROM LARPENTEUR AVENUE
TO CRAWFORD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights has had several
requests due to excessive truck parking, to post Arona Avenue on the East
side from Larpenteur Avenue northly to Crawford Street and,
WHEREAS, said truck parking has created a hazard for traffic movement
going westerly from the alley north of Larpenteur Avenue,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights directs the Clerk Administrator to cause the east side of Arona
to be posted "No Truck Parking" from Larpenteur Avenue to Crawford Street so
enforcement can be conducted.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Stone and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown and Stone, and
the following voted against the same: None.
WHEREUPON, the motion was declared duly passed and adopted.
