CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of <br />December, 1979. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Steele, Brown and Stone, and the following members were absent: None. <br />Councilmember Steele introducted the following Resolution and moved its <br />adoption. <br />RESOLUTION 79-28 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONCEPT OF THE 911 <br />EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICES SYSTEM PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, State statute has empowered the counties in the metropolitan area <br />to adopt a plan for the implementation of the 911 Emergency. Telephone Services <br />System, and such plan is required to be submitted to the State by December 15, <br />1979; and <br />WHEREAS, Representatives of the respective counties and several municipal <br />fire, police, and medical agencies have participated in the development of the 911 <br />System; and <br />WHEREAS, local recurring costs are directed by statute to be borne by the <br />municipality and representatives of the City of Falcon Heights have registered their <br />concerns relative to these costs and their unpredictable amounts; and <br />WHEREAS, The Mayor and the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights have <br />reviewed the final draft plan for the 911 Emergency Telephone Services Syst~~};now, <br />therefore, be it <br />RESOLVED, That the Mayor and Council of the City of Falcon Heights hereby <br />approve the concept of the 911 Emergency Telephone Services System Program, but <br />approval of the final draft of the Ramsey County Plan is specifically deferred <br />pending the results of the bidding process so that an accurate determination can <br />be made as to the actual costs to be incurred by the City of Falcon Heights. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Stone and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown and Stone, and the <br />following voted against the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON, the motion was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />G~ ~ r/ <br />Willis C.
