Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting of the-City Council of
the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 27th day of December, 1979.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele and
Stone and the following were absent: Councilmember Brown.
Mayor Warkentien introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 79-.~9
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK ADMINISTRATOR
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA
CITIES INSURANCE TRUST FOR GROUP HEALTH, GROUP LIFE PLAN,
AND DISABILITY INCOME PLAN
WHEREAS, The League of Minnesota Cities has established an Insurance Trust to
accomodate municipalities within the State of Minnesota, with reasonable cost f.or
Group Medical, Group Life and Disability Income Plan which will accomodate small
groups which have difficulty in getting quotes from most health insurance groups;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that in entering into an agreement with
the League of Minnesota Insurance Trust they will give City employees and dependents
the necessary Health, Life and Disability insurance coverage they desire at a reason-
able cost;
NOW THEREFORE, it is determined by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights
that said agreement shall be executed by the Mayor and Clerk Administrator on behalf
of the City of Falcon Heights.
Councilmember Steele seconded the motion and upon a vote being taken the follow-
ing voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmember Steele and Stone, and the following
voted "nay": None.
WHEREUPON, the foregoing Resolution was adopted.
