HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_80-16CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS • Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 25th day of June, 1980. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele and Larson and the following were absent: Councilmembers Brown and Eggert. Councilmember Larson introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 80-16 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ST. PAUL PROPOSED ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE CONTROL OF NARCOTICS PARAPHERNALIA C ~ J WHEREAS, St. Paul, Minnesota Council President Ron Maddox has proposed a resolution relating to the control of narcotics paraphernalia which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and, WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities was supportive of the proposed resolution at their 1980 State Convention, at which the representative of the City of Falcon Heights was in attendance and voted in the affirmative, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights unanimously supports such a resolution and encourages the State Legislature to draft a similar law to .prohibit the sale of narcotics paraphernalia. The motion for the adoption of the foregozragresolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Steele and upon a vote being taken the following voted "Aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele and Larson and the following voted against same: None.
