Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting of the City
• Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of
July, 1980.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele,
Brown, Eggert and Larson, and the following were absent: None. Councilmember
Larson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption.
RESOLUTION 80-19
A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING PRE-REVIEW REQUIRE-
MENTS HAVE BEEN SATISFIED
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Aet requires local governmental units
to prepare comprehensive plans and submit them to the Metropolitan Council for
review; and
WHEREAS, this plan entitled Falcon Heights, Minnesota Comprehensive Plan
represents the response of Falcon Heights to the requirements of the Metropolitan
Land Planning Act; and
WHEREAS, this plan was adopted by the City of Falcon Heights Planning Commission
on July 23, 1980 following a public hearing with required legal notice; and
WHEREAS, this plan was delivered to the City of Lauderdale, City of Roseville,
City of St. Paul, University of Minnesota, Minnesota State Fair, School District
• 623 and Metropolitan Council for review and comment on July 9, 1980; and
WHEREAS, this plan was considered and accepted but. not adopted by the Falcon
Heights City Council on July 23, 1980; and
WHEREAS, this plan was transmitted to the above listed jurisditions concurrently
with submission to the Metropolitan Council for formal review under the Metro-
politan Land Planning Act.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED`.,>by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights,
Minnesota that the Clerk Administrator is authorized and directed to submit
this plan to the Chairman of the Metropolitan Council for review under Section
473.175 of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Steele and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson
and the following voted against same: None.
WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Adopting the 1980 Compre~lic~.nsi.vu Municipal Plan.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land P]_anni.ng Act requires local
governmental units to prepare comprehensive plans and submit
them to the City Council, adjacent communities, the School
District, the County, and thc~ Metropolitan Council for review; and
Lti'HEREAS, this plan has been prepared by the Planning Commission
with assistance from a professional Ci_tyPlanner in response to
the requirements of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and
;vHEREaS, this plan represent the present judgement of the
Planning Commission as to the needs and desires of the Community
for environmental development and maintenance; and
Lti'HEREAS, this plan has been presented, considered, and discussed
at a public hearing with required legal notice;
Be it hereby resolved by the Planning Commission of the City of
Falcon Heights, Minnesota that the Comprehensive Municipal Plan
as amended and dated, this 23rd day of July, 1.980 is hereb~-
adopted and the Chairman is ~iuthor:zed to officially transmit
a copy to the City Council for its review and consideration.
