Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting of the
City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held November
• 25, 1980.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers
Steele. and Eggert and the following were absent: Councilmembers Brown and
Larson.
Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION 80-30
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT OF $30,485.24
TO BLACKTOP SERVICE, INC. FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF
GARDEN AVENUE, HOLTON TO SHELLING DRIVE, AND 1979
SEALCOATING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights has entered into a contract with
Blacktop Service, Inc., 1200 W. Highway 13, Burnsville, MN, for the con-
struction of Garden Avenue from Holton to Snelling Drive, and 1979 seal-
coating, and
WHEREAS,. both contracts have been completed, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected and determined the actual
contract cost for construction of Garden Avenue to be $127,752.91 an under
run of $34,378.86 and sealcoating costs were $48,836.63 an under run of
S $3,730.12,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights does hereby authorize final payment in the amount of $30,485.24
to Blacktop Service, Inc.
The motion for the adoption of the foregait~gresolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Eggert and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele and Eggert,
and the following voted against the same: None.
WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
