CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
RESOLUTION 81-17
AUTfDRIZATION TO COMMENCE
EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights desires to
acquire a site for the public purpose of construction of a new
City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
most suitable site for said construction is a portion of certain
property known as the Charles J. Hawkins property in the City
of Falcon Heights;
RESOLVED that the City Council hereby directs the
• City Attorney to initiate eminent domain proceedings against
the southerly portion of the Charles J. Hawkins property,
which parcel to be condemned shall be not less than 115,944
square feet of area excluding roads or other easements;
RESOLVED further that the City Attorney is directed
to initiate said proceedings under the so-called "quick take"
provisions of Minn. Stat. ~ 117.042.
