HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_75-11CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 27th day of February, 1975. The following members were Aresent: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following were absent: Non®. Councilman Ecklund introduced the following Resolution, and moved its adoption: RESOLtTTION #75-11 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING RAMSEY COUNTY TO INSTALL ~~NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER' SIGNS WHEREAS, a discussion was held by the Falcon Heights City Council in regard to complaints received by the City of the parking problems on Hemline Avenue, on the west side from California Avenue, northly to 120.36 feet to A11ey, and WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights City Council did note that the parking problem stems from that fact that the traverse lane on said road is only 1 !~ feet wide, and WHEREAS, when cars are parked, moving traffic in the traverse lane would have to cross over the median line to avoid the parked cars, causing traffic violations, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights does hereby request Ramsey County to install ~!No Parking Here To Corner~~ signs on the west side of Hemline Avenue from California Avenue northly 120.36 feet to A11ey to alleviate the traffic situation. The motion for the adoption of the forgoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Steele, and upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted against the same: None.
