HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_76-16 CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular m®eting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 13th day of May, 1976. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Council- n~en Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following were absent: None. Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moTed its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 76-16 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON GARDEN AVENUE FROM PASCAL AVENUE TO HAMLINE AVENUE (See attached Resolution) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman St®ele, and upon a vote being taken, the following Toted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following Toted against the same: None. WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Regular Meeting of May 13, 1976. r, ~- } _ _, Relating to Parking Restrictions on Garden Avenue, M.S.A.P. 124-105-01 from Pascal Avenue (12-x+1) to Hamline Avenue (25+78) in the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota. THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered. into this 14th day of May, 1976, by and between the City of Falcon Heights in Ramsey County, Minnesota, and the Commissioner of Highways, State of Minnesota. The Municipal corporation shall hereinafter be called the "City" and the Commissioner of Highways of the State of Minnesota, hereinafter shall be referred to as the "Commissioner," WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the "City" has planned the improvement of Garden Avenue from Pascal Avenue to Hamline Avenue WHEREAS, the "City" will be expending Municipal State Aid Funds on the improve- ment of said Street, and WHEREAS, said'~3,m~rovement does not conform to the approved minimum standards as previously adopted for such Municipal State Aid Streets and that approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions, and WHEREAS, the extent of these restrictions that would be a necessary prerequisite to the approval of this construction as a Municipal State Aid project in the "City" has been determined. NOW, Tf~REFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED by and between the parties hereto as follows: That the "City" shall restrict the parking to motor vehicles on the one side of Garden Avenue from Pascal Avenue to Hamline Avenue at all times, unless hereafter authorized in writing by the Commissioner. ATTE City,of; Falcon Height 'nne t r• ~~ City Clerk By ` ~ -~ c' ' ~ _ . , Mayor STATE OF MINNESOTA Recommended for approval: State Aid Engineer Date APPROVED: Commissioner of Highways Date RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS AND COMMISSIONER OF.HIGHWAYS, STATE OF MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Highways of the State of Minnesota has submitted to the City Council for execution, an agreement relating •_o restriction of parking on those streets and avenues wherein Municipal State Aid funds are used in improving said streets and avenues, NOW BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of and in the name of the City of Falcon Heights an agreement between the City and the Commissioner of Highways wherein the City agrees to restrict parking to one side of Garden Avenue between Pascal Avenue and Hamline Avenue. Certification of Cit Clerk I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and correct copy of a resolution presented to and adopted by the Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, at a duly authorized meeting thereof held on the 13th day of May, 1976, as shown by the minutes of said meeting in my possession.
