~ersuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special
Meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights,
Minnesota was held on the 18th day of July, 1977.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien,
Councilmen Black, Steele, and Labalestra. The following member
was absent: Councilman Ecklund. Mayor Warkentien introduced
the following Resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 77 - 19
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE HOLLYWOOD
COURT STREET AND ALLEY IMPROVEMENT
AND IDAHO AVENUE CURB AND GUTTER FROM
ARONA TO PASCAL T0: C. S. McCROSSAN, INC.
IN THE AMOUNT OF $51,730.00
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Falcon Heights has
advertized for Bids to reconstruct Hollywood Court Street and
alleys and install curb and gutter on Hollywood Court, and
install two (2) fire hydrants at the same time and also install
curb and gutter on Idaho Avenue from Arona Avenue to Pascal
Street and,
WHEREAS, the following Bids were presented at Bid Opening:
C. S. McCrossan, Inc .....$51,730.00
Hardrives, Inc. .......... 52,348.70
Total Asphalt Const. Co... 56,469.30
Ashback Const. Co. ....... 56,591.00
Alexander Const. Co....... 56,949.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Falcon Heights that the Bid be awarded to the lowest
responsible bidder, C. S. McCrossan, Inc. in the amount of $51,730.
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that approximately $8,000 from the
General Funds of the City of Falcon Heights be permanently trans-
ferred to the Construction Project Fund, thereby minimizing the
assessable amount to the benefitted property for said improvements.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Steele and upon a vote being taken,
thereon, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen
Black, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None.
Councilman Ecklund absent.
WHEREUPON, the Resolution was declared dully passed and
adopted this 18th day of July, 1977.
