The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele, Labalestra and .the following members were absent: None. Councilman Black introduced ,the following resolution and moved its adoption. • RESOLUTION 77-21 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE METROPpL1TAN COUNCIL TO ACCEPT THE COMM[INTTX GRANT APPLICATION PROVIDED UNDER THE METRp- POLITAN LAND PLANNING ACT WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act .under Minnesota Statues, Section 473. 851-473. 872 requires the community to update-its comprehensive plan and, WHEREAS, Minnesota Laws - 1976 Chapter I67 provided funding for Metropolitan Area Local Governmental units for the prepera- tion of said plans, NOW THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights., Minnesota,.. that the Metropolitan Council is re- quested to accept the City of Falcon Heights application for funding in the preperation of upgrading a comprehensive plan in the amount of $4,400 as shown in the Community Grant Application. attached. The motirpn for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by .Hteele and upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor of the resolution: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted against same: None.
