HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_77-29• CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS RESOLUTION NO. 77-29 A RESOLUTION FOR THE CANVASSING OF RETURNS OF SPECIAL ELECTION Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held at the City Hall on the 10th day of November, 1977, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Members Black, Steele, Labalestra and McGough, and the following were absent: None. The Clerk presented affidavit of posting of notice of special election held in accordance with the resolution adopted on May l2, 1977, authorizing said election to vote on the question of borrowing money and issuing General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $66,000, for the purpose of the acquisition of a fire truck for the City, and also presented the official M returns of the judges of election. Said affidavits and returns were duly examined, approved and ordered placed on file in-the office of the Clerk. Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION OF CANVASSING RETURNS OF ELECTION BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Ramsey County, Minnesota, that it is hereby found, determined and declared that the special election held in and for said City on November 8,. 1977, was in all respects duly and legally called and held and the returns thereof have been duly canvassed, and the votes cast at said election nor and against the following question were as follows: "Shall the City of Falcon Heights be authorized to borrow money on the authority of its general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed ,$66,000 for the purpose of purchasing a fire truck?" Votes YES 1036 Votes NO 122 Spoiled or Blank Ballots 8 Total Ballots 1166 and said proposition having received the approval of a majority of the votes cast hereon is hereby declared to have carried.
