HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_72-15.r "'~.~ VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of ~f the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 22nd The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen and Taylor. The following members were absent: None. Councilman Black the Village Council day of June, 1972. Black, Ecklund, Stone introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 72-15 WHEREAS, The United States District Court for the State of Minnesota has changed certain Legislative districts and, WHEREAS, Falcon Heights has been designated the sixty-second Senate district and that the Senate district has been divided into two House districts, A and B, with the dividing line as follows: Commencing at the north Village limits and Snelling Avenue, southerly along Snelling Avenue to Garden Avenue, thence westerly along Garden Avenue to Fry Street, thence southerly along Fry Street to Larpenteur Avenue, thence easterly along Larpenteur Avenue to Snelling Avenue, thence southerly along Snelling Avenue to the south Village limits. The westerly portion of Falcon Heights shall be known as 62A and the easterly portion as 62B. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, that Precinct No. 1 of the Village of Falcon Heights boundary shall be as follows: Commencing at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Larpenteur Avenue, thence westerly along the middle line of Larpenteur Avenue to a point 726 feet east of Cleve- land Avenue, being the easterly boundary of Precinct No. 1~, thence northerly along said easterly boundary of Precinct No. !~ to Roselawn Avenue, thence easterly along the middle line of Roselawn Avenue to Snelling Avenue, thence southerly along the middle line of Snelling Avenue to Garden Avenue, thence westerly along the middle line of Garden Avenue to Fry Street, thence southerly along the middle line of Fry Street to Larpenteur Avenue, thence easterly along the middle line of Larpenteur Avenue to Snelling Avenue, thence southerly along the middle line of Snelling i~renue to Como Avenue, thence westerly along the middle line of Como Avenue extended to the westerly boundary line of the State Fair ground property, thence northerly and easterly along said Fair ground property to Fair- view Avenue extended to Larpenteur Avenuee to the point of beginning. And that Precinct No 3 of the Village of Falcon Heights boundary shall be as follows: Commencing at the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Roselawn Avenue, thence east- erly along the middle line of Roselawn Avenue to Hamline Avenue, thence southerly along the middle line of Hamline Avenue to Larpenteur Avenue, thence westerly along the middle line of Larpenteur Avenue to Fry Street, thence northerly along the middle line of Fry Street to Garden Avenue, thence easterly along the middle line of Garden Avenue to Snelling Avenue, thence northerly along the middle line of Snelling Avenue to the point • of beginning. • ~,,, v.~' a j' ~ .~ r The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Taylor , and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone, Taylor , and the following voted against : None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
