VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
HELD: OCTOBER 12, 1972
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, T~Iinnesota, was
duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on the 12th day
of October, 1972, at $:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Mayor titi'arkentien and Council-
men Black, Ecklund and Stone, and the following was absent: Councilwoman
Stocker.
RESOLUTION 72-33
Councilman Stone introduced the follwoing resolution and moved
its adoption:
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE
FRY STREET CURB AND GUTTER IlvI?PROVEMENT 1972
ti~iEREAS, pursuant to notice duly given as required by law, the
Village Council has met, for the purpose of adopting proposed assessments
• for Street Improvement of 1972, as more and fully described in the Notice
of Assessment Hearing; and no one appeared in opposition to said proposed
assessment;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village
of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof is hereby accepted and shall consitute the special
assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein
is hereby found to be benefitted by the proposed improvement.
2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments
extending over a period of 5 years, the first of said installments to be
payable with general taxes for the year 1972, collectible with such taxes during
the year 1973. To the first installment there shall be added interest at the
rate of eight per cent (8.00) per annum on the entire assessment from the
date of this resolution until December 31, 1972. To each subsequent instal-
lment, when due, there shall be added interest for one year at said rate on a11.
unpaid installments. The owner of any property so assessed may at any
time prior to the certification of the assessment or the first installment
thereof to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such prop-
erty with interest accrued to the date of payment to the Village Treasurer,
except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid
within 30 days from the date hereof; and such property oVmer may at any time
prior to November 15 of at~y year pay to the County Treasurer the entire
amount of the. assessment remaining due with interest accrued to December ~.~
of the yearin which said payment is made.
3. The. Village Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified
• duplicate copy of this assessment to the County Auditor to be extended
on the tax list of the County.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Mayor Warkentien and upon a vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund
and Stone, and the following voted against: none.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopte .
