VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
• HELD : FEBRUARY £3, 19 73
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota,
was duly called and held at the Village Mall in said Village on the
8th day of February, 1973, at 7:30 P.M.
The following members were present : Mayor TrTarkentien,
Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone, and Councilwoman Stocker.
RESOLUTION 73-5
Councilman Ecklund introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
A RESOLUTION RERUESTING THE RAMSEY
COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO
TAKE AFFIRMATIVE ACTIOPd ON THE
"TOPICS" PROGRAM
The motion for the adoption of tY:e foregoing Resolution
was duly seconded by Councilman Black, and upon a vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien,
Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone, and Councilwoman Stocker, and the
following voted against: None.
Whereupon, said Resolution was declared duly passed and
adapted.

VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS
A RESOLUTIONSRTOtTTS~TIEN~~I~ATIVE ACT ONYONOTHE OF
COMMISSIONER
"TOPICS" PROGRAM
WHEREAS, in January, 1972, the Ramsey County Board of
Co Toners instituted the "Topics" Program with
state and federal funding, to improve Larpenteur Avenue
from Fullham to Hamline Avenues in the Village of Falcon
Heights;
' the Village Council by resolution, dated January
WHEREAS,
27, 1972, approved of the project;
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Falcon
Heights on September 12, 1972, rescinded the prior
resolution;
WHEREAS, the present traffic situation on Larpenteur
Av in the area of the proposed improvement is causing
great inconvenience and possible danger to the citizens
of Falcon Heights;
WHEREAS, the Village Council is informed that after a
decision is made on the plan of the improvement, a number
of months will elapse prior to the time traffic signals
can be installed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
FOR THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS A,S FOLLOWS:
The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners is requested
to make a decision as soon as possible on the original
plan or any alternate plans for the Larpenteur Avenue
improvement known as the "Topics" Program.
The Motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution
was made by member Ecklund, seconded by member Black,
and, upon a vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: All;
• The following voted in favor against : None .
Wherefore said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted .
