Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village
. Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 12th day of
April, 1973. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen
Ecklund, Stone, and Councilwoman Stocker. The following member was absent:
Councilman Blaek.
Mayor Warkentien introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 73-9
RESOLUTION OPPOSING PASSAGE OF A BILL WHICH WOULD
ALLOW THE RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO
APPOINT THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF
SAS, a bill has been introduced in the legislature entitled Senate
File 1497, which would enable the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners to appoint
the Ramsey County Sheriff..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the
Village of Falcon Heights, that they are opposed to the passage of said leg-
islation.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilwoman Stoeker, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilman Ecklund, Councilman Stone, and
Cc~;~ncilwoman Stocker, and. the following voted against: None.
WHEREUPON, the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, this
12th day of April, 1973•
