EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA HELD: April 26, 1973 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall, in said Village on April 26, 1973, commencing at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Members Stone, Black, Eklund and Stocker. None were absent. The following resolution was introduced: RESOLUTION N0. 73-12 VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS L J A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF SENATE FILE , PERTAINING TO AN INCREASE IN PENSION BENEFITS FOR THE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS. WHEREAS, Senate File has been introduced in the 1973 Minnesota Legislative Session; WHEREAS, said bill was prepared after a thorough study of the benefits presently afforded the volunteer firemen of the Village of Falcon Heights, in comparison with benefits afforded by other villages; WHEREAS, the benefits presently given. to volunteer firemen of the Village of Falcon Heights are felt to be insufficient in comparison with benefits afforded by • other villages; and s • WHEREAS, an increase in pension benefits and length of service is necessary to retain present members who will soon achieve maximum benefits under the present law, and also necessary to recruit new members; and WHEREAS, an increase in pension benefits and length of service is felt to be just and reasonable in light of the great duties and responsibilities of the volunteer firemen of the Village of Falcon Heights; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights as follows: The Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights fully supports Senate File , and urges the Minnesota Legislature to enact said legislation. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolu- Lion was made by Member Stocker, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, and, upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All; The following voted against: None.
