J .VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 2~.th day of May, 1973. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Stone, and Councilwoman Stocker. The following member was absent: Councilman Ecklund. Councilman. Black introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION #73-1It RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY AND PARTICIPATE IN THE METRO RATE AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the Village of Falcon Heights is authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Section 4'71.59, to enter into joint and cooperative agreements with other govern- mental units, and • WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined that it is necessary and de- sirable that the Village cooperate with other municipalities in the regulation of electric utility service in the Metropolitan Area by participating in he Metro Rate Authority, and WHEREAS, the Village has granted a uniform franchise to Northern States Power Company and is, therefore, eligible for membership in the Metro Rate Authority, an organization established to administer the rate provisions of such uniform franchises adopted by its members. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, By the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, that they will enter into an agreement with the Northern States Power Company and participate in the Metro Rate Authority. The motion for'the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by P'Iayor Warkentien, and upon a vote being taken thereony.:the following-voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Stone, rand Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted ~ag~iz~st, the- same: ' Noner F i t Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 21~th day of May, 1973. r WILLIS C.
