VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHT S
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,. a special meeting of the
• 4i11age Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on
the Est day of November, 1973. The following members were present:
Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund and Stone, and Councilwoman
Stocker. The following were absent: None.
Councilman Stone introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION #73-30
RESOLUTION CALLING FOR AN ELECTION ON THE ISSUANCE
OF ON~ALE LIQUOR LSCENSES
Be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights,
' Minnesota, as follows:.
1. A petition has been presented to the Village Council, requesting
a special election on the question of granting on-sale liquor licenses
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 310.353, the Split-Liquor .Statute.
2. Said Petition contains the requisite number of signatures and
is in accord with Minnesota Statutes 205.08, dealing with special Village
elections.
3. The Clerk-Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to post
and publish according to law a Notice of Election, and to prepare ballots
for use at said election which Notice and ballots shall be in substantially
the following form:.

vote against the above proposition, mark a cross (X) in the square
below the worm "NO".

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held in and
for the Village of Falcon Heights, Ramsey County, Minnesota, on December

The aolling solaces for said election will be the Village Hall,
Falcon Heights Elementary School and the Northwest Greenhouse, at which
places all of the qualified electors of the Village may cast their ballots.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk
of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that I
have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes
with the original minut:~s of a meeting of the-Village Couneil, held on
the date therein indicated, 'which are on file and of record in my
office, and the same is a full, true and correct transcr3.t~t therefrom
insofar as the same relate to a special election on the issuance of
"on-sale" liquor licenses to private persons in coniunction with a
hotel or restaurant.<

I~. The judges for said election shall be the same judges appointed
by the Qillage Council. pursuant to law to be held at the same time and
• place.
5. Said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with
the statutes of the State of Minnesota applicable, and the Council sh all
meet as required by law for the purpose of carnrassing said election and
declaring the results thereof.
Councilwoman Stocker seconded the foregoing Resolution and upon a
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:- Mayor
Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Stone, and Councilwoman
Stocker, and the following voted against the same: None.
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
