Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, wag held on the 13th day of
• December, 1973•
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black,
Ecklund, and Stone, and Councilwoman Stocker, and the following were absent:
None.
Councilwoman Stocker introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION X73-~.0
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING FALCON HEIGHTS AS THE
CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS CONIl~lENCING JANUARY 1,
197~i~
WHEREAS, Due to an act of the 1973 Minnesota Legislature, Chapter 123 of
Minnesota Laws 1973, all villages will become known as cities.in all proceedings
"governed by statute or rule or regulation of a state'ageney and in all legal.`"
proceedings to which the city is a party."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village
of Falcon Heights, that it hereby converts all references of Falcon Heights from
Village to City, beginning January 1, 197I~.
• The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Ecklund, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black and Ecklund, and Council-
woman Stocker, and the following voted against the same: None. Councilman
Stone abstained.
