Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 21st day of
• January, 1974.
The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black,
Ecklund, and Steele, and Councilwoman Stocker, and the following were absent:
None. _
Councilman Steele introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION #74-5
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE "ON-SALE" LIQUOR LICENSE
AND INVESTIGATIVE FEE IN THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHT S
WHEREAS, the Council is authorized to set the license fee and the
investigative fee for the granting, renewal and transfer of "On-Sale" liquor
licenses, and
WHEREAS, the Council deems the fee of .$3,500.00 per year to be presently
commensurate with .the required police.and fire°~protection, road maintenance
and other City expenses, but reserves the right to reexamine these expenses
in one (1) year after sufficient, additional figures are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Falcon Heights:
• 1. .The annual license fee for "On-Sale" liquor licenses shall be $3,500.00
Aer year, but said fee shall be .reexamined in one (1) year, taking into ,account
all considerations of addiaional expenses, such as police and fire protection,
road maintenance and other""considerations relating to health, safety and welfare.
2. The investigative fee for granting, renewal and transfer of !'Or~rSale"
liquor licenses shall be the actual costs of said imtestigation not to exceed
$400.00.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilwoman Stocker, and upon a vote being.. taken thereon, the fo11oW3.ng
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien,. Councilmen Black and Steele and
Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted against the same: Councilman
Ecklund.
Whereupon the Resolution was declared dul assed and ado ted.
