RESOLUTION RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON S.A.P. 124-105-04
NORTH SIDE OF GARDEN AVENUE FROM HOLTON STREET TO HAMLINE AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the city has planned the improvement of Garden Avenue,
State Aid Route No. 105 from Holton Street~to Hamline Avenue in the City of Falcon
Heights, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the city will be expending Municipal Street Aid Funds on the
improvements of this street; and
WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for
parking on both sides of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as a
Municipal State Aid Street project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking
restrictions;
WHEREAS, parking along this portion of Garden Avenue creates a
potential public safety hazard between pedestrians and parked cars;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that parking of motor
vehicles on the north side of Garden Avenue from Holton Street to approximately 270
feet east of Holton Street shall be banned at all times.
