A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE 2002
MAYORS' REGIONAL HOUSING TASK FORCE REPORT ON AFFORDABLE
HOUSING
WHEREAS, the city has played an active role in the development of the
recommendations found in this report through the participation of Mayor Susan Gehrz;
and
WHEREAS, the Mayors' Regional Housing Task Force has met for the past year and
made progress in identifying the best practices in the areas of construction, sustaining
housing affordability over time, and funding mechanisms for cities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights, through its comprehensive plan, supports the
maintenance of balance in housing types, affordability, and options for its residents;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Falcon Heights,
Minnesota, that the City Council supports the recommendations found within the 2002
Mayors' Regional Housing Task Force Report on Affordable Housing.
Adopted by the Council this thirteenth day of November, 2002.
