MINUTES
PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
JULY 8, 1885
Called to order by Floyd Bedbury.
Members present: Floyd Bedbury, Connie Laser, Paul Ciernia
(liaison), Paul Nelson, Carol Parks, Tom Montain, Margaret
and Ed Sinclair, Annette Geistfeld
Guest: Ardis Hutchins
1. The Ice Cream Social was discussed. Areas of responsibility
were decided.
2. The purchase of picnic tables and benches were discussed.
Annette will be responsible to contact other parks to ask
their recommendations concerning climbing ropes, benches,
and picnic tables.
• 3. Paul Nelson, Carol Parks, and Keith Moderson have studied
past budgets. Decisions need to be made about the hockey
boards at the Hole, repairing the warming house at the Hole,
repairing the warming house at the Grove, and hiring-_a
part-time person,
We need a detailed estimate of repair from the maintenance
personnel for both warming houses. The estimate will be
discussed at the August meeting.
A resolution was unanimously passed that the Park and
Recreation members agree in principle with the concept of
a part-time person. A proposed job description and
qualifications will be presented at the next meeting.
~. Commission members have requested a year-to-date financial
report every other month.
