Parks and Recreation Commission
April 19th, 1995

Community Playroom
• Carol ICriegler updated the commission on the status of the new community
playroom which has been open since February 6th. Carol provided the
commission with attendance and revenue records as well as results from the
survey that was sent to all families that had visited the playroom. The
survey was very thorough and solicited a great deal of feedback. Response
to the playroom has been very positive. A round table discussion is
scheduled for Monday April 17th.
Falcon Heights School Site Improvement
At the February meeting of the site improvement committee, the schematic
plan was approved. The Parks and Recreation commission also approved
this plan at our February meeting. The city engineer has reviewed the plans
and will assist in further development. The next meeting of the site
improvement committee is schedule for Monday May 1st.
Summer 1995 Recreation Program
Carol Kriegler introduced the summer recreation program. The flyer was
sent home with elementary school children the week of April 10th. Many
new programs are offered, as well as many opportunities for older
children. Plans continue for the ice cream social and the friends of Curtiss
Field picnic.
Commission Meeting Date
Due to summer scheduling conflicts, the commission voted to change
meeting dates to the second Monday of each month until October. The next
meeting will be Monday May 8th.
