PARK REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENTS
Caor1 Kriegler presented some updated information from last meeting regarding
play ground equipment. Big Toy Mfg has responded regarding their piece of
equipment which is in the Falcon Heights Community Eark. They will try to give
us specific recommendations. They will also give us an estimate on a slide to
replace the old metal slide which has been replaced for safety reasons. Sand 8
inches deep should be placed around the playground equipment and maybe bordered
3n.
Electrical work has and will continue to be worked on at Idaho-Snelling and at
the Community Park.
The item regarding parking curbs at the Community Park will be delayed and perhaps
presented to the City Council at a later date. Also the sidewalk at the Community
Park around the building is a problem.
An insurance sponsored survey of Falcon Heights' parks was done several years
ago. Carol will attempt to meet with the representative regarding some of their
findings and suggestions.
The culverts at Idaho-Snelling are a concern from a safety standpoint.. A City
engineer will look at them soon.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR PARKS
We will try to obtain the help of a U of M intern to assist us in this plan.
SUMMER PROGRAMS
The enrollment was very good and the programs have gone well.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Carol has made all necessary arrangements. A senior citizens band may play for
entertainment.
