A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE SUBDVISION OF THE HEWLETT PACKARD CORPORATION PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights has formally been petitioned by Hewlett Packard to subdivide certain property which is owned by the firm which will permit them to participate in a future Tax Increment Finance District and, WHEREAS, the City Council referred said petition to the Planning Commission for consideration and recommendations, NOW THEREFORE, the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that the following described land be subdivided: Unplatted Lands - S 765 ft of fol: W 20 acres of E 1/2 of SW 1/4 and E 15 acres of W 1/2 of SW 1/4 ex W 60 ft of E 15 acres and ex E 131 ft of S 186 ft of W 20 acres (subj to rd and esmts) in Section 16, Township 29, Range 23, and the north. tract shall be as follows: That part of-the South 765 feet lying east of the West 60 feet of the following described tract of land: The South 15 acres of the parcel of land which. consists of the West 20 acres of the East half of the Southwest Quarter and the East 15 acres of the West half of the Southwest Quarter, all in Section 16, Township 29, Range 23, Ramsey County, Minnesota, which. lies north of a line of said South 765 feet a distance of 329.96 feet to the actual point of beginning of the line to be described; thence westerly to a point on the east line of said West 60 feet distant 327.15 feet south from the north line of said South 765 feet and said line there terminating. Subject to easements and restrictions of record, if any. Containing 3.88 acres, more or less. Upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereofc Commission Members Stefanson, Brown, Mead, Chenoweth, Olson, Bourquin, Nilsen, and Wallin, and the following voted against the same. None. The motion for the above Resolution is hereby adopted. ATTEST: • G ld Wallin, Secretary `~~ ~~-T ~ ~~, ,, Alan Stefanson,~Chairman CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION 83-~ • A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS UPON THE APPLICATION OF HEWLETT PACKARD CORPORATION WHEREAS, the City Council of Falcon Heights has been petitioned by Hewlett Packard Corporation to zone certain land within the City of Falcon Heights from R-1, One Family Residential District and R-2, One and Two Family Residential District, to B-lA, Limited Business and Processing District The legal description of said property is as follows: The South 15 acres of the parcel of land which consists of the West 20 acres of the East half of the Southwest Quarter and the East 15 acres of the West half of the Southwest Quarter, all in Section l6, Township 29, Range 23, Ramsey County, Minnesota, except that part of the South 765 feet of said South 15 acres which Iies East of the West 60 feet of said South 765 feet, subject to rights of the public in County Road A (Larpenteur Avenue) and subject also to cartway easement upon the East 33 feet thereof. Subject to easements and restrictions of record, if any. Containing 5.85 acres, more or less, and WHEREAS the City Council has referred said petition to the Planning • Commission for consideration and recommendation, NOW THEREFORE, the Planning Commission hereby recommends to the City Council to rezone the above described property. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Commission-Members Stefanson, Brown, Mead, Chenoweth, Olson, Bourquin, Nilsen and Wallin, and the following voted "nay": None. G' r ~ , Alan Stefanson,-Chairman ATTEST: ~~~~~ e ald Wallin, Secretary • CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION 83-5 A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE FALCON HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CITY PLANNING CONSULTANT, CARL DALE, TO COMPLETE THE UP-DATING OF THE FALCON HEIGHTS ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights Planning Commission has reviewed,- and recommended to the City Council changes for-all residential districts of Ordinance No. 64 and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission requests the City Council to consider entering into an agreement with. City Planning Consultant,-Carl Dale, to complete the up-dating of the balance of the Zoning Ordinance No. 64. Major points which need to be addressed are as follows: (a) Zoning applicable to University land to enable Falcon Heights to maintain control of land use in the event land was sold (b) Planned Unit Development (PUD) (c) Updating remainder of Ordinance No. 64, including amendments to ascertain content is within current State 'Statute, and current. and future needs Upon a vote being taken the above resolution was adopted unanimously. n ~~7~~ /. G~Z Z'~ ',~'r ~-° Alan Stefanson, airman ATTEST: V" , ry W llin, Secretary CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION 83-6 A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE FALCON HETGHTS CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZE CARL DALE AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN AMENDMENT TO THE PRESENT ZONING ORDINANCE REGARDING MANUFACTURED HOMES WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights Planning Commission has reviewed in- formation regarding the placement of mobile homes within the City, and WHEREAS, State Law prohibits restricting the location of manu- factured homes from any residential district so long as those homes are in conformance with ilinnesota Statutes and comply with other applicable zoning ordinances, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission deems it desirable to amend the zoning ordinance to incorporate regulations applying to manufactured homes, and WHEREAS, Planner Carl Dale has been hired to complete the re- writing of the present zoning ordinance, BE IT THEREFORE .RESOLVED, that the City Council be ,,requested to authorize Carl Dale and the City Attorney to draft an amendment to the present City ordinance regarding manufactured homes-and then incorporate the new ordinance • into the zoning ordinance rewrte.- Upon a vote being taken the above resolution was adopted unanimously. n r , r Alan Stefanson „ hairman ATTEST: ~~~ J r y a11in, Secretary • CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS PLANNING COMMISSION • WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights City Attorney has explained the need for a resolution from the Planning Commission indicating approval of the plan for Development District No. l and Tax Increment District No. 1, Commission Member Chenoweth introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 83-7 A RESOLUTION APPROVING TAX TNCREMENT DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT N0. 1 AND TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT N0. I (1) This Planning Commission reviewed the Development and Finance Plan for Tax Increment Development District No. 1 on April 18, 1983 and approved it for submission to the City Council for action. (2) The Commission found the proposed development to be in conformity with. the existing Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan of the City.
