REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION r1EETING
MARCH 2, 1987
Chairman Black called the Planning Commission meeting to order at
7:30 P.M.
Black, Grittner, Nestingen, Northrop, Daykin and Boche. Also present
was Council Liaison Wallin.
Finegan, Mead and Duncan.
Boche moved, seconded by Grittner, to approve the Planning Commission
Minutes dated February 2, 1987 as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
P.ichard Wenkel, 1825 Fairview, requested a permitted accessory use to
replace existing buildings of 1930's vintage, which are in need of repair,
to a pole type 12 foot by 24 foot metal storage building. He presented
letters from neighbors voicing no objections. After questions on
what type of floor will be installed (dirt when built and crushed rock
at a later date), location of storage building on lot, location of
doors and assurance that sheet metal exterior will be properly achored,
Grittner moved, seconded by Nestingen, to approve the accessory use as
• requested. Motion carried unanimously.
Black presented a January 11, 1987 memorandum (on file in the off ice of
the Clerk Administrator) from the Biking/Hiking Advisory Committee.
After a discussion concerning the need to look at all options, the proposed
route, and necessary budget for engineering and legal fees, Northrop and
Black volunteered to be members of .the Committee. The goal of the
Committee should be to develop a charter and present a unified position
to the City Council.
The City Council requested one volunteer to serve on the Cable TV Access
Committee from the Planning Commission. Council Liaison Wallin briefed
Planning Commission members on the role and duties this volunteer would
have. Nestingen volunteered to be a member of this Committee.
Boche moved, seconded by Black, to adjourn the meeting at 7:54 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously.
